c. 1820 England
Offered by Lennox Cato Antiques & Works of Art
This article could have been made by a journey-man who once worked for famous Gillow's firm. The mahogany table has two drawers, with a small three quarter raised gallery.
The thin elegant reeded legs are the typical, one sees on Gillow furniture. The whole is supported by brass cup castors. The brass knob handles are later replacements.
A similar table on page 300 (chamber tables) can be seeing in Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840 by Susan E. Stuart.
