A good sized tilt-top tripod table, with yew wood top and fruitwood base. Wonderful colour and patina.

The use of different woods was common, especially in pieces made with yew wood. Yew trees often grew in church yards and were regarded as a scared tree because of their long life. Yew wood was scare and more highly valued than many other woods. Consequently it was very common to use yew wood for the top of a table and another wood for the base.
