The lower portion of the body is embellished with chased scroll, floral and leaf decoration on a trellis pattern background incorporating a scroll bordered shaped vacant cartouche to either side.
This Victorian teapot is fitted with a plain hinged hallmarked domed cover which retains the original fine and impressive hallmarked sterling silver finial realistically modelled in the form of an eagle.
The shaped rim of the cover is encircled with an applied scrolling border accented with stylised leaf motifs.
The impressive opposing scroll handle is ornamented with a large, chased decorated single leaf design which is incorporated into the shaped thumbpiece.
The upper and lower sockets of the handle are embellished with chased leaf decoration.
The fine and impressive swan necked spout is ornamented with scrolling decoration accented with leaf designs.
This antique Louis style teapot is supported on four scrolling bracket style feet embellished with chased stylised leaf and scroll decoration.
