The upper portion of each pepper incorporates an array of pierced 'pepper' holes to the recessed plateaued crimp of the hull/case.
Each pepper pot retains the original fully hallmarked screw fit detachable base; this indicates the fine quality of the pieces.
The underside of each piece bears the registration number '72241' in addition to a tooled decorated circular motif replicating the features of the shell's primer.
Diameter of body 2cm/0.8"
Diameter of base 2.2cm/0.9"

Full hallmarks to the surface of each piece have not been deeply struck due to the rounded surface; these marks have wear in keeping with age, but remain legible.
The full hallmarks to the underside of each piece are all clear in keeping with age; the top portions of the maker's marks are worn.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
