The two parallel bars, ornamented with seed pearl terminals, display a stylised winged insect to the centre.
The insect's four wings are embellished with fourteen seed pearls of various sizes.
The thorax of the insect is ornamented with a collet set round mixed cut natural blue sapphire, and the abdomen displays a larger seed pearl.
The head of this impressive insect brooch is further accented with two collet set old Dutch cut diamonds.
This 1900's bar brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening and benefits from the additional security of a fine link chain and safety clip.
This antique brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 ct gold.
The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
