Look at what I found on the Online Galleries website!
The anterior surface of the case is embellished with an impressive and detailed painted enamel salmon fishing fly.
The reverse surface of the case is plain and unembellished.
This unusual item retains the original hallmarked hinged cover, which when opened reveals a match storage compartment and a push fit sprung cylindrical cutter.
The cover is surmounted with a ring loop attachment and features a plain thumbpiece to one side.
There is an integrated serrated panel/match striker to the underside of the case and an opening to access the cutter to one side.

There is a minor ding and small fissure to the surface of the reverse of the case, near the pin which holds the cutter (see image two) and a small opening to the silver just below the cutter (see image four). The item has been priced accordingly.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique Victorian silverware.
