This fine antique Victorian sterling silver gilt and mother of pearl fruit/dessert service consists of twenty four knives and twenty four forks.

The blades of the knives have a plain pointed form and the forks each have three tines.

The hallmarked sterling silver surface to each piece of this dessert cutlery set is gilded; if required, this service could be professionally stripped of gilt, back to the silver.

The plain cylindrical mother of pearl handles are ornamented with hallmarked silver gilt terminals and ferrules, each embellished with embossed fluted decoration in a swirl design.

These impressive examples of antique silverware are supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduces tarnishing.
