The centrepiece is fitted with two-tiered dishes, each embellished with an impressive chased decorated graduating lozenge pattern incorporating quatrefoil floral motifs, all emanating from a central floral petal design.
The shaped rim of each dish and circular base are each embellished with a paralleling applied bead decorated border.
The pedestal base is further ornamented with a plain knop ornamented with large quatrefoil floral motifs, identical to that of the graduating pattern.
The hallmarked detachable screw fit central support is encompassed with an applied spiralling band of bead decoration.
The upper portion of the central support is embellished with an impressive rounded cuboid shaped finial ornamented with further chased geometric decoration, matching the decoration to the body.
Such antique cake stands are quite scarce to the market.
