The plain and large cylindrical capital is encircled with bands of applied moulded decoration.
The silver chamberstick retains the original push fit hallmarked sconce and the original detachable hallmarked snuffer.
The snuffer has a conical form and is surmounted by simplified ball style finial.
The sconce, snuffer and wax pan of this impressive silver chamberstick are embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest displaying a demi-lion regardant holding a double helix.
The wax pan and sconce are encircled with further applied moulded borders to the rims.
This silver chamberstick is fitted with a plain circular fingerpiece with a scrolling thumbpiece.
The underside of the chamberstick bears the retailers mark ‘Garrards, Panton Street, London’.
This impressive chamber candlestick was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith Robert Garrard II of R & S Garrard & Co.
