The lower portion of the body is embellished with chased scroll, floral and leaf decoration on a scale diaper pattern background incorporating a scroll bordered shaped vacant cartouche to either side.
This Victorian coffee pot is fitted with a plain hinged hallmarked domed cover which retains the original hallmarked cast sterling silver finial realistically modelled in the form of an eagle.
The shaped rim of the cover is encircled with an applied scrolling border accented with stylised leaf motifs.
The impressive opposing scroll handle is ornamented with a large, chased decorated single leaf design which is incorporated into the shaped thumbpiece.
The upper socket of the handle is embellished with chased leaf decoration in junction with the body.
The fine and impressive swan necked spout is ornamented with further leaf and scrolling decoration accented with a tiered husk design and lozenge motif to the underside.
This antique Louis style coffee pot is supported on four scrolling bracket style feet embellished with chased stylised leaf decoration accented with a large leaf textured design in junction with the body.
