This piece consists of two identically shaped glass scent bottles fitted with a hinge to the lower portion of each, allowing them to sit vertically side by side once the hinge is extended.
This impressive hinged mount is embellished with bright cut engraved fluted decoration accented with circular motifs to one side
Each glass container is fitted with a gilded sterling silver mount and cover; one cover is screw fitting and the other hinged cover releases with a push fit catch.
The upper mount/cover of each scent is encircled with a bright cut engraved gilt band of palmette and vertebrate ornamentation accented with a knopped silver band embellished with circular motifs.
The plateau of each cover is embellished with the bright cut engraved monogram 'EG' encircled by a volute scrolling border.
The base of one scent is features the original pierced palmette decorated silver gilt grille and vinaigrette.
The interior of the hinged cover features a push fit silver gilt cover, which opens to reveal a circular frame designed to hold a personal photograph.
The anterior surface of the push fit cover bears the retailer's mark 'Jenner & Knewstub, 33 St James's St & 66 Jermyn St'.

This item is in excellent presentation condition, showing signs of wear to each cover in keeping with age.
The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks to the interior of the vinaigrette, the grille and the fellow base are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from this fine example of Victorian silverware.
