The surface of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished with an applied moulded upper rim.
This cup is fitted with two impressive opposing scroll handles, each with a chased leaf decorated thumbpiece and scrolling lower terminal.
The cup bears the retailer's mark ‘Bristol Goldsmiths’ Alliance’ to the underside and was crafted by Francis James Langford & George Langford of Bristol Goldsmith's Alliance.
This fine example of antique silverware is fitted to a circular painted wood plinth, encircled with a vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.
