Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Presentation Cup

The plain body of the cup is embellished to one side with a large chased decorated laurel and oak branch design conjoined with a ribbon bow.
The lower portion of the body is encircled with embossed convex fluted decoration.
The upper rim of the waisted body is embellished with an applied bead decorated border.
The cup is fitted with two fine and impressive scrolling ribbed handles ornamented with a collared leaf design to the upper terminal.
The knops to the pedestal are encircled with applied bead decoration above a swept concave fluted decorated foot.
This fine example of Victorian silverware is fitted to a circular ebonised wood plinth, encircled with a vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.
This impressive cup is fitted with an internal threaded dowel pin which provides a secure and concealed screw fit attachment to the plinth.
