The upper, bulbous portion of the kettle is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration incorporating floral designs and trellis patterns; the lower portion is plain.
The decoration to this Victorian silver kettle incorporates a large scroll bordered cartouche to either side, each ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved coat of arms surmounted with the crest of a falcon belled, all above the motto 'Moveo et proficio' - I move and I progress*.
This antique silver kettle is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover encircled with further bright cut engraved opposing scrolling leaf decoration with a leaf motif to either side.
The cover is surmounted with the exceptional and original sterling silver finial encircled with further scrolling designs and terminating with a ball motif.
