The body of this Victorian bowl is embellished with fine and impressive bright cut engraved leaf festoons above chained swags suspended from oval medallions.
Either side of the bowl incorporates a bordered oval cartouche, one displays the contemporary crest of from a tower a dove rising and the other remains vacant.
Each panel is encompassed with a paralleing bright cut engraved scalloped border accented to the upper and lower portions with additional interlacing and quarefoil motif ornamentation.
This exceptional example of antique teaware is fitted with two fine and impressive shaped opposing scroll handles with bright cut engraved decoration to the plain thumpieces.
This impressive antique sugar bowl retains the original gilded interior.
