Antique Walnut Bureau – Edwardian walnut Writing Desk
This beautiful antique Edwardian walnut bureau / antique writing desk ca 1910 has a moulded fall front which is cross banded and has a working lock and key. The interior has a green baize writing insert, several small drawers, pigeon holes and a central cupboard. The lower section has two smaller over one larger mahogany lined drawers with brass swan neck handles and the antique desk stands on cabriole legs. The desk is constructed in the Queen Anne style, is a rich golden walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
