The pieces of this exceptional antique William IV sterling silver flatware set for twelve persons have been crafted in the Fiddle pattern.

The surface to the handle terminal of each ladle and spoon, in addition to the reverse of each fork, is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a tiger's head erased, pierced with an arrow.

The reverse surface of each spoon features a rounded heel to the bowl and pip to the handle terminal; the anterior surface of each fork bears a pip to the terminal.

This antique Fiddle pattern flatware set consists of 44 pieces:

12 Dessert spoons
6 Teaspoons

2 Sauce ladles

The fundamental pieces of this service have been crafted by the collectable, renowned Newcastle silversmiths Thomas Wheatley in 1830; the dessert spoons and two teaspoons were crafted by Reid & Sons.
