English provincial silver. An attractive little antique sterling silver cream jug of globular shape with a simple curved handle. To the front is a hand engraved inscription in old fashioned cursive script. Contains 200 ml. Weight 148 grams, 4.7 troy ounces. Height 7.5 cms. Spread 10 cms. Diameter 5.5 cms. By the York maker James Barber & William Whitwell (1812-1821).
This lovely little silver jug is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The engraving is still crisp. The silver marks are a little rubbed but still easy to read. The makers mark is indistinct but is undoubtably that of James Barber & William Whitwell, the York maker.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
