Item Description / Dealer Expertise

A mid 19th century mahogany apothecary box.

The box has a hinged lid and drawer that has a brass military plate handle. The interior of the box has nine assorted size glass bottles with stoppers each in their velvet lined compartment.

The drawer has a locking pin to keep it closed and it holds a pair of scales, glass measure and a bottle of "Dr James's Fever Powder!" each stored in it's own velvet lined compartment.

The box is in excellent original condition with a working lock and key. (Circa 1850)
