A delightful Art Deco bronze dancer, intitaled, "Danseuse Paienne", Pagan dancer. Patinated green bronze, upon a shaped metal plinth, of a dancer with bowls, balancing upon one leg.
This slender and slender female figure, dressed lightly, often in movement, was an important source of inspiration for
Max LE VERRIER when he realized his series of little dancers, gymnasts and Art Deco lamps.
He will approach this theme and that of animals with a great fluidity of lines and a sobriety of forms. The captivating beauty of her creations lies not only in the extreme delicacy of hands and carved faces, but also in the elegance and charm of their poses.
