An exceptional quality sterling silver drinks flask with a removable drinking cup. The crystal body, heavily cut in the hobnail pattern, has a chunky silver cap with swivel and lock safety mechanism. The top is engraved with a stylised monogram “RP” for R. Purbrick the original owner. Both the top and drinking cup have the original gilding. Every feature is of the highest quality. The flask would have originally been part of an extensive set of art deco silver and cut glass gentleman’s accessories in a leather travelling case for which the maker Asprey is particularly known for. Contains 100 ml. Weight of top 90 grams, 2.9 troy ounces. Height 14.5 cms. London 1934. Maker Asprey, London.
This stylish silver top flask is in very good condition with no restoration. The top and cup both have full and matching English silver hallmarks. This flask has been water tested and does not leak. The swivel locking cap mechanism work well and easily.
