A parcel-gilt Bowl, Chester 1915. The upper edge with a repousse inscription: 'Anna and Richard Glover March 27th 1866 - March 27th 1916.'
Richard Glover [1837-1919], a leading Baptist minister, married Anna Finlay on the 27th March 1866 at Govan in Lanark. The Glasgow Herald of Wednesday, March 28, 1866, [Issue 8182] reported the marriage, by the Rev. Henry Batchelor, of the Revd. Richard Glover to Anna, daughter of R.G. Finlay Esq. After leaving Glasgow in 1867, Glover spent much of his life in Bristol. An account of his life is in the D.N.B.
