The fabulous Asprey box interior features twelve toiletry jars each one beautifully engraved with sterling silver lids hallmarked Brownett & Rose, London all housed in a blue leather lined removable tray with engraved handles. In the center of the removable tray is a fully fitted tool pad which includes: Mother of Pearl button hook, thread pull, penknife, & dip pen, as well as two pairs of scissors, cork screw, silver pencil by S.Mordon & Co and bone cutical, this accoutrement pad can be removed and underneath of which has more storage space for other small jewellery pieces. Removing the upper tray with the silver and accoutrements reveals another leather lined storage tray once removed shows more storage space and two small jewellery drawers.

The underside of the asprey dressing case lid houses a removable reversable free standing leather backed mirror and a leather bound blotter still containing its original blotting paper. On the lower edge of the lid it's embossed in gold with: Asprey. Manufacturer to her Majesty. 166. Bond St. W.

This luxurious Asprey vanity box comes with a fully working bramah lock and tasselled key.

Asprey was established in 1781 by William Asprey, and was originally set up to be a silk printing business, but soon became a luxury emporium. Located in central London, Asprey advertised 'articles of exclusive design and high quality, whether for personal adornment or personal accompaniment and to endow with richness and beauty the table and homes of people of refinement and discernment.' As the business grew the company acquired several manufacturing facilities and hired silversmtihs, goldsmiths, jewelers and watchmakers including Ernest Betjeman. In 1859 Asprey bought Edwards, a Royal Warrant holder and award winning dressing case maker. In 1862 Asprey was granted its first Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria and the company enjoyed a long relationship with various members of the British Royal Family.
