Circa 1770, an Austrian birchwood shreibschrank (bureau bookcase), with burr inset panels, strapwork decoration and crossbanding, the upper section with an arrangement of 8 drawers around a central cupboard above the fall front, enclosing a fitted interior, flanked by 2 small drawers, the serpentine base has 3 long drawers.
