This charming silver sculptural model of a duck has been carefully crafted in the style of the celebrated jeweller Mario Buccellati (Italian, 1891-1965) and is a startlingly realistic representation.
The duck is made entirely in silver and is depicted in a nestled, seated position. The head and breast feathers are crafted with fine silver wire, with the wings and larger feathers crafted using interwoven, stippled strips of silver; the duck's beak and eyes, are crafted from shaped solid pieces of silver.
