One of the most important sculptures of the Art Deco period this fabulous bronze and ivory group of two dancers in stretched stylised pose admirably epitomises the grace and vitality of the period. Each figure has a cold painted bronze costume and leggings with arms, head and torso delicately carved in ivory. The group is raised on a Brazilian green onyx plinth, signed Prof. Otto Poertzel.
