Rare Early 19th century camphor wood linen press.

The press comprises of a pair of solid camphor Wood panel doors with an ebony bead down the middle where the doors meet and the interior has four sliding tray again made from camphor wood. The press stands on four bracket feet and has brass carrying handles on the sides.

The press has a wonderful colour and when opened a very strong smell of the camphor wood oil. In good condition with excellent quality brass hinges, carrying handles and a working lock and key. (Circa 1830)
