A wonderful large work bench with solid beech wood top and pine legs by Otto Mecke, Berlin. The bench has two vices, one on the front edge and the other on the right-hand side. The top leading edge is drilled with square holes for use with metal bench dogs, two are supplied with the bench. The base is constructed with loose-wedged mortise and tenon joints so that it can easily be dismantled. The bench is in a used condition but not so much as to make it an untidy piece of furniture, it would work just as well at home as a hall table or maybe a kitchen work table.
The bench is 1 meter deep on the left-hand side with the vice.
Measurements include the handles.
