A rare group of three English Walnut Pilasters, circa 1650, showing three Actors/Players. The two either side arer grimacing and sticking out their tongues. They are wearing what appears to be Jesters' costumes, with bells on their cuffs and pantaloons. The figure in the middle is wearing what appears to be a Lion's manne on her head, and is holding a cat's head rather provocatively between her legs. They all have banbles around their ankles and are depicted with what could be birds' feet. There is some insect damage, and they all appear to have been slightly cut down in height
Height 35.00 cm (13.78 inches)
Width 10.00 cm (3.94 inches)
Depth 3.00 cm (1.18 inches)
