This very popular pattern is known as "Bengal Tiger", "Dragon in Compartments" or "Kylin in Compartments".
It was first made by Worcester in the 18th century.The pattern is an English interpretation of Chinese export porcelains from the Kangxi period. The punch bowl is painted with lappet-shaped panels of mythical beasts alternating with vases. The central decoration in the well of the bowl represents a chrysanthemum.
