A seventeenth century Charles II carved giltwood mirror.
Lyle family – originally at Barrington Court, Somerset. Barrington Court was one of the first large properties purchased by the National Trust, who acquired it in 1907. In 1917, Colonel Arthur Abram Lyle, of Tate & Lyle, leased Barrington Court from the Trust and three generations of his family lived there, the last leaving in 1991.
