As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most charming pair of Chinese cloisonne lidded censors formed as a pair of quails and later mounted with european ormolu fittings for use as candlesticks , the cloisonne birds are from the late Qianlong early Jiaqing period circa 1790-1810 ,the ormolu mounts applied in the early 19th century , the colourful birds each hold a leafy stem from their beaks that can now be used as very decorative candle holders.
The condition is great with no cloisonne damage !
