A Chinese porcelain charger, c. 1730. Painted in the 'Chinese Imari' style, with a central panel of a butterfly amongst flowering plants, decorated in underglaze blue, overgraze red, and gilt, within a border of flowerheads, upon a scrollwork ground. The reverse with flowering branches, around a burnt orange footrim.
Typical, minor wear to the gilding. Otherwise in oerfect condition. No damage. No restoration.
