Antique period mid 18th century creamware bodied teapot standing on three mask head feet.
The lead glaze tortoiseshell decoration is typical of the work of Thomas Whieldon and is embellished with various sprig decorations. The domes shaped cover has a flower head shaped finial and sprig decoartion of flowers and leaves which echoes the border on the lower pot.
A fine and clean example.
