The very substantial twin fuzee five pillar movement has shaped plates, a recoil escapement and a long, (16.5") pendulum. There is a 13" convex painted dial with roman numerals which is signed to the upper half “Grimaldi & Johnson” and below London. The substantial brass bezel almost goes out to the edge of the case, always an attractive and relatively early feature. Immediately below the bezel is a shaped brass panel and the well figured base, of a good rich colour, curves in to the wall and has brass stringing around the door. The side doors have silk backed brass frets.h:- 23" (58.5cm)
