Daniel & Arter was established in Birmingham in the late 19th century in approximately 1880 by Thomas Henry Daniel (d. 1897) and Thomas Richard Arter (d.1915). Their premises were in Highgate Street, Birmingham, with showrooms in London, 62 Holborn Viaduct, and later at 98 Hatton Garden. Becoming a limited company in 1920, the business ceased trading in the 1930s.
