With a ribbed design and ebonised turned bandings forming a ring decoration. With a brass carrying handle, the original hand beaten brass liner, and a brass bound around the top. The whole piece standing on a turned base raised on ebonised ball feet.

A Dutch tea bucket or ‘teestoof’ was originally used for keeping tea-kettles warm, as a brazier containing a bed of smouldering charcoal within the brass liner, over which a tea-kettle was placed.

Possibly made as a jardiniere.
