A very exceptional Beauvais Tapestry from the beginning of the 18th century, depicting a couple of feasting lovers with Cupid flying over them and aiming his arrow symbolizing Love. Another angel looks after the well-being of the other guests.

Opposite the couple some servants prepare the feast whilst musicians play. This rural scene is set in a Chateau garden in the French style, and in the centre is a beautiful fountain in the middle of a pond in which two swans are swimming.

Magnificent borders in the form of a frame with garlands, and cornered with flowers and foliage,

A splendid tapestry, well preserved with exceptional fineness which has preserved all the brightness of the colours.
