Very rare British Colonial Jamaican chest made out of solid mahogany and cedrela. The chest has satinwood inlay on the bottom rail framing a figured mahogany cartouche with unusual French style bracket feet with Jamaican spur. There is a spool turning on the top rail above the five drawers with open dove tails on the side. The faces of the front feet were restored with antique mahogany where the diagonal starts. This West Indies chest was a treasure to find surviving in the Caribbean.
