The square fret-galleried top above a pierced fretwork frieze with two cup slides on the sides, raised on four cluster-column legs joined by a X-form pierced stretcher terminating in a turned finial.
Very good to excellent condition for age, minor splits and old repairs to frets.

"The urn stand is a revival of a very charming old fashion... These tables have a tiny tray that pulls out in front on which to place the cup and saucer. They are, of course, more frequently used for a silver kettle than for an urn. There is no doubt that this little separate table for the kettle is very practical and convenient." - Every Woman's Encyclopaedia, c. 1900
