Early eighteenth century walnut bureau of pleasing golden colour and good patina; the desk fitted with five small drawers, nine pigeon-holes and a well with a sliding cover, enclosed by a pair-veneered and double-banded flap, below a matched four-panel veneered top; the lower part with two short and two long drawers with softwood linings and old but not original brass plate-handles. Circa 1735
