An early carriage clock dating from the 1840-50s, the engraved one-piece case with bevel-edged glasses throughout, an extra large platform viewing glass and a one-way folding handle.

The white enamel dial has blue Roman numerals, outer minutes chapter and blued steel moon hands, and is signed for the maker Auguste a Paris.

The eight day movement is also signed for Auguste, numbered 77 and has its original engraved English lever platform.

The clock strikes the hours and and the passing of the half hours on a polished steel bell, repeating the last hour by depressing the top repeat button.
