An ebonised timepiece table clock with calendar. The elegant timepiece has an eight day fusee movement with anchor escapement and heavy pendulum bob. Signed on the backplate. The beautifully engraved silvered arched dial signed Hanson Windsor. Subsidiary date dial below IV. Blued steel hands. The chamfer top case with inset brass canted sides and brass sight ring.

This clock works wonderfully in a modern setting with its clean lines and would be suited to the study or library with its 31 day monthly calendar dial and that it doesn't strike on the hours.
Excellent, the 8 day movement has been fully cleaned, is working and come with a guarantee.
A George Hanson is noted as working in Windsor between 1784 and 1823. There is a further William Hanson noted as working in Windsor between 1800 and 1864 which could be George Hanson's son. A lyre clock by George Hanson is in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle.
