Additional Information:

Edward (b.1809) was the son of Andrew Robertson by his first wife. He exhibited at the R.A. 1830-37. Was in Dublin c. 1831-32 and exhibited at the R.H.A.,1826. Robertson was present at the signing of the Maori Treaty at Russell, March 1840 and conveyed the document to Governor Phillip in Sydney. Cape Robertson, New Zealand, is named after him. His miniatures are scarce
