An exceptional quality Edward VII sterling silver hall marked rose bowl.

The bowl hall the hall marks for London, the letter mark for 1910 and the maker's mark for Horace Woodward & Co ltd who first registered in 1893.

The bowl has an engraved retailers mark under the foot for Rowell of Oxford who still have a Silver & Jewellery shop in Oxford that was established in 1797.

The bowl is made from a very heavy gauge of silver and is decorated in an Art Nouveau design of water lillies.

The shaped foot has embossed leaves around it's base with leaves, flowers and water lillies around the main body of the bowl.

The pair of handles have a bearded face mask support at the base and are designed as a stem covered in foliage that splits and joins the rim which has a repeated design around it's lip.

The bowl is very good quality and design and in good condition with one very minor dent under the rim.

The hall marks are crisp and in good condition as is the retailer's mark on the underside of the foot.
