The dial and movement are set in a banded ormolu drum case which rests on an ormolu scroll.
The 4½ inch dial is set within a fine engine-turned gilt bronze bezel.It has black painted Roman hour numerals on a smooth chapter ring, with engine-turned centre. It has a subsidiary dial below the XII with faux seconds indication.
The very fine steel hands are heart-shaped.
The chain fusee timepiece movement, shown here pre-servicing, is of 8 day duration with original chain. The pendulum has a locking lever for transportation.
