A fine and rare regency mahogany sideboard, with breakfront upper section, the hinged top opening to reveal a compartment for a linen roll, the central panel flanked paired thyrsi entwined by vine and flanked by carved roundels, the rectangular top above a central draw similarly carved and flanked by cupboards, each door carved with bacchic mask centered within a moulded panel carved to each corner with an anthemion, the whole resting on four monopodia, the rear supported on two square legs.

The design of this sideboard is attributed to James Wyatt for Dodington Park Gloucestershire.The current house was built by James Wyatt between 1798 and 1813 for Christopher Codrington. The church was also rebuilt by Wyatt.
