The case is inlaid with boxwood stringing, and a satinwood shell. It has a heavy brass bezel with a convex bevel edge glass, and a convex enamel dial, which is signed by the original retailer, Hamilton & Inches of Edinburgh. It has an 8 day French movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong which was made by Vincenti. The movement is numbered 2357 as is the original pendulum.
The case retains its original finish in excellent condition, the brass work has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
