Item Description / Dealer Expertise

A fine satinwood armchair with carved lyre back and brass strings. An almost identical chair is illustrated in the V & A English publication listed below. Our chair is late C19, the V & A c.1775 and thought to have been made by Francois Herve, who worked for Henry Holland at Carlton House
