Item Description / Dealer Expertise
A very original, late 18th Century longcase clock. It has a square dial with a swan neck pediment and brass finial. The case has a long trunk door with book matched figured panels and a matching section on the base. The 14" painted dial, by Wilson, has painted fruit within the corners and centre, with a subsidiary seconds and date dial. The 8 day moveemnt strikes the hours on a bell. Made by Samuel Lister of Bolton, (listed as a maker 1770-1795).
